Second to none
My cats have fleas! Or at least they had fleas. I have used over-the-counter less expensive items (flea powders flea collars etc.) up to and including other topical products like this one and nothing worked. The flea collars were less than worthless - they actually caused patches of fur to fall out on at least one cat. The powder was unwieldy and the other topical applications (save one) did not work at all.
I must give credit where credit is due - I have used Frontline before for my cats and have been very satisfied with the results from that one. However I decided to try Advantage this time as I'd heard good things about it and it was on sale at a discount when I needed it. I couldn't be more pleased. Unlike most other topical applications where the flea substance is put on the shoulder blades of the cats and stinks (STINKS!) this has no easily discernable smell.
This is a good thing. Also the cats seemed to settle down from their scratching and biting at fleas within just a few minutes. Last night was the first night in weeks that the cats have all rested peacefully. There were no signs of flea-dirt left in their usual sleeping spaces last night. I am very pleased indeed.
My cats are also happy. While I still have an appreciation for Frontline I am happy to have Advantage as a viable alternative.
The cats give this a sixteen-paw salute! (Four cats four paws each you know...)

Love it!I love this product and have been using it on my cats for years. I buy the large dog pack because its cheaper to buy this and put the medicine in a dropper using the proper dosage for my cats. It lasts forever and it much more economical to do it this way.

We Got to try this right awayOur outdoor cats have been picking up ticks like crazy since we moved to a new area. In no time at all one of them had a tick and the hardest part of getting it off was getting the cat to hold still. Tool worked like a charm pulled off the whole tick.

Outstanding and safe!I have been using this Advamtix for years with my Lhasa Apso. When I first bought it I ask my son-in-law (a biochemist) to check it out to see if it was safe to use. He called in a few days to say he wished he had found this because it is only effective on a flea. No danger to dog or people. If you read the warnings on most flea stuff you will see all the warnings.
Other thing I really like is it is easy to put on the dog. Just take top off and apply it between the shoulder blades.

Worked best for meBesides this product I've used the Tick Key and the Ticked Off removers. I liked the Tick Twister best especially for deer ticks because its narrow shape made it easier for me to get it through the dog's hair and around the tick without getting caught on the dog hairs.
My second choice is the Ticked Off remover. That worked well on the dog ticks - not so well on the tiny deer ticks.
I never could seem to use the Tick Key. Maybe it depends on the type of hair the dogs have. Mine both have short hair.

Caution: Some cats get determined to twist themselves in a pretzel to lick this. I can caused them to foam at the mouth and make them hyper for about 24 hours after. Solution is easy. Take an old sock and trim the toes for an opening for kitty's head and the cut two arm holes. Makes a kitty' vest and will keep them from licking their shoudlers. Keep them in it for about 24-36 hours. No problems.
